DEED provided data on unemployment claims by various categories. From the data we know in the last four weeks there were 435, 439 claims for unemployment insurance.
Breakdown by race – 75 percent White, 7 percent Black, 5 percent Asian, 5 percent Hispanic, 1 percent American Indian, 0.2 percent Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders, 2 percent with more than one race.
55 percent of applicants were female, 45 percent male.
By occupation the largest groups were food and beverage providers, cooks and food prep workers, construction workers, retail sales, personal appearance workers, and health care workers, information and record clerks and motor vehicle operators.
